Shakira and Beyonce have made a record by jumping a whooping 91 slots by jumping from being #94 to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Beautiful Liar,” an irresistible Latin/pop anthem of feminine empowerment, has also entered Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs and Hot Digital Tracks charts at #1.

She is making waves with her shakes and is in Mumbai, India. And the Mumbaikars are going mad unsure how to treat the lady. Grand Hotel Hyatt, when came to know that Shakira loves fruits and flowers they decided to give her a grand welcome with flowers and fruits. “The calorie-conscious singer is fond of fruit so berries from Australia, papayas from Hawaii and peaches from Dubai have been flown in,” the Mumbai Mirror newspaper said, quoting Ilan Weill, the hotel’s general manager. “We have also stocked up her favourite music, including Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Police, The Cure and Nirvana,” Well said. Ah now that’s what you call a well thought of welcome!

Shakira’s Dubai Concert is only 3 days away and more than 25,000 tickets have been sold. She will also perform at Tunisia and Lebanon as part of the Arab World Tour. And that’s not enough first time Shakira will sing one Arabic Song. The concert is first of hers ever in the Middle East.

Initially though it seemed little awkward to know that two artists with clashing styles will collaborate but the album proves the speculations wrong.
