We all know who Shakira is… but lets ask Shakira as to who is this woman called Shakira and what does she think of her.

“Sometimes I feel that Shakira is an old woman trapped in the body of a 24-year-old girl. Sometimes I feel that there’s a baby inside me that hasn’t grown up yet. So Shakira can be a very confusing character!”

She seems to be full on energy, but when asked why she feels like an old woman inside, Shakira says,

“Sometimes I feel full of theories. I don’t necessarily go through the experience of something, because I’ve already decided what the results are going to be. I don’t go out too much at night. I don’t visit too many clubs. I like to go out sometimes and just observe how people behave. When I was 15 years old I preferred dancing to watching. Now I’m on the other side.”

Shakira is going to reach the age-milestone of 30, in February this New Year. She is reigning the pop charts today both in Latin and English music… her personal life is perfectly in-sync with her professional life… equally harmonious and successful… so what is on Shakira’s mind next.

She is going steady with boyfriend Antonio De La Rua since last five years and has already decided to marry him.

“Shakira has already made the decision to marry Antonio de la Rúa,” said the newspaper, adding that “when she was on tour in Buenos Aires she also said that her wishes to become a mother are getting more and more intense.”

So is wedding on the cards for Shakira? Guess so… may be after she gets back after her Tour of Europe the coming New Year. She has also thought of signing a Pre-nuptial contract with De La Rua in which Antonio would renounce any right to the fortune she has earned over the course of her career, avoiding possible future problems. She didn’t wanna end up like Paul McCartney.

Shakira has Lebanese-Spanish roots and she holds fast to them as she stood for the Arab world, when the world started looking down upon Arabs as terrorists, after the unfortunate September 11 attacks at the World Trade Centre.

On the 9-11 attacks she said,

” When I received the news… I reacted like the other millions of people, very nervous and confused. The fear that I have is that… this tragedy will turn into an even worse tragedy, because it is very easy to fill ourselves with hatred and bitterness…When we are filled with this hate, it affects our actions. Therefore, I was worried that a war might occur and that the entire world might suffer for the irresponsible acts committed by a few people.”

She defended the Arabs saying,

“I’m also afraid of generalizations, because the Arabic world is a very large and grand culture. The Arabic world is not all Muslims, nor are all Muslims terrorists. I don’t think the US or any other country for that matter should retaliate against this terrorism. There is way to end terrorism without hurting innocent people,” she protested.

“These generalizations and the tendency to generalize bother me alot. My father is 100 percent Lebanese, and he is not a terrorist. I come from a Catholic Arabic family, and I have never even met a terrorist in my whole life,”

confessed Shakira.

Sources say she has been working with Beyonce on her forthcoming album…and spending time with her family and partying with her beau Antonio De La Rua.

She has an entire tour of Europe lined up in the coming year. I hope the break fills in more energy in her performances and makes them more thrilling than ever.

Looking at her chiseled abs that allow her to make those snake like moves and those pelvic thrusts, one must be wondering what on earth does the woman eat to maintain abs like that.

If you thought she turning a vegan had something to do with that…then you are wrong buddy because Shakira couldn’t stay a vegan for long.

She revealed,

“I always try to kind of eat in a balanced way. I became vegetarian not too long ago. But I quit! [Laughs] It only lasted two months.”

Hoping she wasn’t inspired by PETA, what made Shakira go vegan.

She says, “Right after one of my tours, I spent a few months in Spain on a farm. The guy who sells the bread in the town next to my farm gave me three chickens and a rooster. I felt so attached to those chickens that I was thinking, “Oh my God, I’m never gonna eat chicken again! These chickens are my friends!” I gave them names and everything. Then I said, “OK, why eat chickens just because I don’t know them?”

Shakira has been winning it big nowadays… after those 4 Grammies, she’s been painting the town red!!! And more than anything, it’s her talk to the media about her personality and why she’s Shakira and not anyone else….

The best part was when she retorted out loud saying that she is NOT Britney Spears… “My videos represent the artist in me very well, but not the kind of woman I am.” Says Shakira…

The Latino babe also added that being blonde and having a guy is the only similarity between her Spears… also adding in that though her videos seem raunchy and erotic, she simply doesn’t want to expose more than her belly in them… “I admire people who can do nudes for the love of art,” says Shakira “But I can’t.” says Shakira. And the reason she gives is that her mom has advised her not to show any more than her waist…

Though the ‘Momma’s baby’ part is arguable, we still love Shakira for whatever she is… after all, it’s not just her HIPS that DON’T LIE

A birdie close to Latino Pop Diva Shakira has revealed recently that there is something real piping hot between the ‘Oral Fixation’ babe with ‘The Fugees’ star Wyclef Jean.

The couple got to know each other while working on Shakira’s recent single Hips Don’t Lie. And Shakira proved it by making a rare party appearance exclusively at Jean’s party recently.

A source revealed, “Her growing interest in Jean seems to be creating trouble in between her and fiance De la Rúa.”

Looks like we are gonna be treated with a few more hit singles like ‘Hips don’t lie’ if the couple gets serious about their relationship
